Just recently, We’ve had the opportunity to work on several projects to create bespoke biscuits for book launch events and celebrations and I wanted to share them with you here.
Branded biscuits are such a perfect accompaniment to celebrate publication day – Is there anything bettter than settling yourself down with a cup of tea and something delicious to dunk in it as you start to turn the pages of a great new read?
When Elle at Feathering The Empty Nest got in touch to ask us if we would create some branded biscuits to help her celebrate the launch of her second book ‘A Bump in the Road’ I was both honoured and touched.
Elle’s story is one that is so close to my own heart. She wrote so beautifully on the subject of baby loss in her first book ‘Ask me his name’ and ‘A Bump in the Road’ is her moving and beautiful account of her journey to finally bringing a healthy baby home. I would really recommend both to anyone who needs to feel a little less alone in the midst of the heartbreak of infertility and loss.
Working on projects that feel meaningful to us is one of my favourite things about running The Kitsch Hen, and these special bespoke biscuits were a real joy to design and bake for Elle.
We created a bespoke embosser using elements of the book jacket design. and matched the icing colours to continue the theme, before individually wrapping each biscuit in a bio-degradbale cello bag. The biscuits were heat sealed to extend shelf life to three months, before being sent straight to the publishers to pop inot the launch packs with some other goodies.
